Break-Out Events Overview

The Problem:

• There are plenty of good things fighting for your time
• You may already find it hard to find time to do the things you are passionate about.
• Small groups, where you do not have a pre-established connection, can be intimidating.
• You find it difficult to share your faith 1-on-1 with non-believers.
• You find it difficult to commit to a weekly, scheduled event. Your life appears random.

The Solution
Break-Out Events are small, randomly scheduled interest based events (by other Mens Ministry men) which are simply opportunities for you to connect with other men who enjoy similar activites.

EXAMPLE 1: Bob decides to hit some balls at the driving range. Rather than go by himself he decides to promote the activity to the Mens Ministry Ministry. Two other men join him to hit balls for an hour. One of the men is from Ross Road, the other is a non-believer who enjoys golf. The men are able to connect and have conversations around their perfect swing and even regarding faith!

EXAMPLE 2: Rick enjoys getting out of the house and grabbing a coffee at the local coffee shop. He decides that on Friday he will invite the mens Ministry. As a result, one ather man joins him and they have a great conversation, which may not have occured otherways!

Whatever you're already doing can be turned into an opportunity to build relationships with other men!

Foundation Events Overview

Foundation Events are:

A: Planned events which are intended to draw all of the men from the Ministry. These events are intended to encourage men on a deep spiritual level, challenge men to use Break-Out events as an out-reach vehicle, and to equip men to better share their faith.

B: Ongoing events which are vital to the spiritual growth of men and considered key components of a Ministry such as this.

Foundation events may come in the following forms:

• Retreats (Camping Trips etc.)
• Banquets
• Coffee House/Comedy Nights
• Christian Seminars
• Worship Nights
• Bible Studies
• Mentorship Programs
